International Women’s Day

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we recognize the rich history that gave us the opportunity. At Adam Bryce we are taking a minute today to remember some important milestones:

1917 – The initial celebration of Women’s Suffrage in Soviet Russia became an international crusade celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women past, present, and future.

1975 – Known as International Women’s Year. The first year the United Nations celebrated IWD on March 8th.

1987 – Congress establishes March as Women’s History Month.

Present Day – International Women’s Day is not one day of the year, it is a movement. The United States is currently one of over one hundred countries to participate in the day focused on unity, advocacy, and celebration.

As we celebrate this important day, we also consider this year’s theme for International Women’s Day: better the balance, better the world #BalanceforBetter. This year’s theme reminds us that although women across the world have made big strides, the fight for equality is far from over.

Today we thank all our client companies and all of you for your dedication to a diverse workforce. Chime in and tell us how you are celebrating today.  We wish all of you a better balance and a better world.
